Delores “Dee” Lolita Lambert Christopher, 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Elevate Health.
A native of Buncombe County, she had worked at K-Mart as a check-out Supervisor for many years. She loved The Lord and one of her favorite places to be was in church. She was a longtime member of Crossroads Church where she attended since the founding of the church in 1960 and was the longest standing member of Crossroads Church. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
She was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Samuel Lambert, Jr. and Evelyn Magaline Redmond Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mack Christopher who passed November 2, 2017; children: Johnny Mack Christopher, Jr., and Terry Lee Christopher; and brothers-in-law: T.J. Carter and Jerry Turnage.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tena Christopher; son-in-law, Jimmy Penley; grandchildren: Daniel, Terry Dale, and Andrew; great-grandchildren: Kendra Destiny, and Michael; sisters: Alpha Carter, and Joyce Turnage; brother, William Samuel Lambert, III and wife Darlene; nieces and nephews: James, Jerry, Jimmy, Johnny, Connie, Katie, Clayton, Melissa, Sandra, Linda, and Michael; and her pastors, Michael and Debbie Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Crossroads Church, with Rev. Dr. J. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM Thursday prior to services at the church.
