DELLA ADELINE JOHNSON LITTRELL, 88, OF 47 GOODMAN ROAD DIED SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2000 AT EMERALD RIDGE HEALTH CARE CENTER FOLLOWING A PERIOD OF DECLINING HEALTH. A NATIVE OF COCKE COUNTY, TENNESSEE, MRS. LITTRELL HAD RESIDED IN MADISON AND BUNCOMBE COUNTIES FOR MOST OF HER LIFE. SHE RETIRED IN THE LATE 1960S FROM BURLINGTON INDUSTRIES AFTER OVER 25 YEARS OF SERVICE AND WAS A MEMBER OF FRENCH BROAD BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOSEPH JOLLY AND SARAH FREEMAN JOHNSON AND WAS THE WIFE OF WILLIAM CHARLIE LITTRELL, SR. WHO DIED IN 1976. SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY SONS, JASPER JOHNSON AND CHARLES LITTRELL; BROTHERS, WOODARD, NATHAN, AND CHESTER JOHNSON; SISTERS, CORA HAWKINS, FRANCES JONES, AND GENEVA CRAWFORD; GRANDSON, TODD LITTRELL; GREAT GRANDSON, JASON WORCESTER. SURVIVING ARE SONS, WILLIE LITTRELL, JR. OF WOODFIN, AND BOBBY LITTRELL AND WIFE, CHRISTINE OF CANTON; DAUGHTERS, PEGGY WYATT AND HUSBAND, GROVER OF McCORMICK, S.C., PATSY SELF AND HUSBAND, HOWARD OF ALEXANDER, ANN MOORE AND HUSBAND, DAVID OF WOODFIN, AND SUE GILLESPIE AND HUSBAND, JACK OF KENNESAW, GEORGIA; 18 GRANDCHILDREN, INCLUDING A SPECIAL GRANDDAUGHTER, TRACI SMITH OF WEAVERVILLE, 23 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM MONDAY IN THE ANDERS-RICE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL WITH THE REVS HOWARD SELF AND GARY HAYNES OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN ELK MOUNTAIN CEMETERY.
