Debbie Rice

Marshall Debra Joyce Debbie Chockley Rice, 57, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. A native of Buncombe County, she had resided in Madison County for most of her adult life. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Asheville and loved gardening and her cats. She was a daughter of the late Walter Murdock Chockley and Sylvia Mae Reese Chockley. Surviving are her sister, Linda Kay Simpson of Etowah; brother, Bill Chockley and wife Nancy of Asheville; nieces, Jennifer, Nicole and Morgan; nephews, Jeff and Josh. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen V. Oxner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
