Asheville - David Lee Hannah, 65, died Tuesday June 8, 2004 at Memorial Mission Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Haywood County, he had lived in Buncombe County most of his life and was a retired truck driver. He was a son of the late Fred and Zella Miller Hannah and was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary and 2 brothers, Paul and Frank. Surviving are his wife, Novella Hannah of the home; 2 daughters, Tammy Blankenship and Shari Banner both of Asheville; 2 sons, Randy Hannah and Bobby Cooke both of Asheville; 4 sisters, Helen, Wilda, Wanda and June; 3 brothers, Pet, Tommy and Dean; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday - June 11, 2004 at Oakdale Cemetery in Hendersonville with the Rev. Vince Mehaffey officiating. (Exit 49 off I-26, Hwy. 64 West thru Hendersonville toward Brevard.
