David Glenn Adkins

Candler – David Glenn Adkins, 68, of 1011 Mountain Drive, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A native of Gaston County and resident of Buncombe County most of his life. He was a Photographer and Cameraman with WLOS TV for over 30 years. Mr. Adkins was the son of the late Harrison Glenn Adkins and Sarah Frances Bean Adkins and was also preceded in death by his sister, Debora Frances Adkins. Surviving are his wife, Linda Cordell Adkins of the home; sons, David Glenn Adkins, Jr. of Asheville, Jason Brian Adkins of Durham and David Cordell of Wilmington; grandchildren, Hanaa, Ayah, Sarah, Liam, Lilah and Oliver and great grandchildren, Christopher, Mekhi and Zean. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, February 3,2022 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Bean officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
