David Allen Messer

David Messer, 45, of Candler, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Buncombe County and was a member of The Church of God. He was the son of David and Carolyn Swanger Messer of Myrtle Beach, SC. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Teresa Messer, daughters, Jamie Sexton (Jeff) and Jessica Messer, sisters, Doloris Taylor and Amanda Corbin, brother, Neil Messer, maternal grandmother, Audrey Ray and several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ted Cogburn, Nathan Cogburn, Chris Cogburn, Nick Reeves, Kevin McCurry and Casey McCurry. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
