Darrell Hunter Franks

Fletcher- Darrell Hunter Franks, 62, died Saturday, August 3, 2002 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. He was a 1959 graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School and he attended Biltmore United Methodist Church. He retired from Lowes in Hendersonville in 1994 after 29 years of service. He also had managed the Asheville and Waynesville Lowes stores. Mr. Franks was the son of the late Darrell James and May Louise Newman Franks, Surviving are his wife, Rita Smith Franks of the home; 3 sons, Todd Franks and wife Laura of Mashpee, MA, David Franks of Fletcher, and Derek Franks of Asheville; brother, Harold Franks of Middlesex, NC; grandchildren, Amanda, Cole, Emily, and Matthew Franks. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Terry Reep and Ashley Crowder Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
