Asheville - Coy Gene Buck Middleton, 62, of 45 Brown Road died at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center in Asheville on November 3, 2002 after a short illness. A native of Bath County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ore and Inez Staton Middleton. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carolyn Owenby Middleton; wonderful daughter and son in law, Dana and Cyrus Alexander with grandsons Cy, Wes and Ben of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two sisters, Fredeith Runner and Rita McFarland of Salt Lick, Kentucky; two brothers, Lloyd Middleton and wife, Dorothy of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Foy Middleton of Salt Lick, Kentucky; nieces and nephews and loving mother-in-law, Ruth H. Owenby of Murphy. He was a retired engineering technician from the NC Department of Transportation and was a consultant with KCI Technologies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Africa, was a retired Seabee from the U.S. Naval Reserves and a member of the Hominy Masonic Lodge #491. He enjoyed worshipping at Biltmore Baptist Church and Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Sides officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the New Martins Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy with military rites to be conducted. The family will receive friends 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Mountain Area Hospice in Asheville, P.O.
