Coralee Dobbins Shelton

Coralee Dobbins Shelton, 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2025, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Buncombe County, Coralee was a devout Christian and faithful member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She was a skilled seamstress making custom alterations to wedding dresses and other garments. She also loved her family very much and cherished every moment.

Ms. Shelton is proceeded in death by her parents, Edward Montgomery Dobbins and Ada Roberta Anders Dobbins. She is also proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Troy Shelton Sr.; daughter, Rosa Lee Shelton; and brother, Carl Dobbins and wife Christine

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert Shelton, Jr., and wife Helen, and Sharon Shelton Honeycutt and husband Allen; grandchildren: Crystal Reeves and husband Nicholas, Tonya Surrett and husband Stanley, Ashley McGee and husband Phillip, and Robert Shelton III and wife Kassidy; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Madisyn, Kaitlyn, Kinslee, Matthew, Blane, and Amelia; siblings: Pauline Powell and her late husband Arthur, Kenneth Dobbins and his late wife Barbara, Dorothy Tabor and husband James, and Carroll Dobbins and wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Sluder officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 till 1:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
