Cora Trantham Harwood

Fairview - Cora Trantham Harwood, 89, of 220 Old Fort Road, died Monday October 7, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Laurel Pines Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorcas Trantham and wife of the late Roscoe Harwood. She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers. Surviving are her daughters, Elizabeth Sams and Millie Harwood both of Fairview; grandchildren, Karen Sams, Sandra Billot and Debbie Sams; great grandchildren, Joseph and Rebecca Cox and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Cane Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Clarence Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
