Clyde Robert Stanley

Leicester Clyde Robert Stanley, 86, of 1 Renaissance Place died Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Mr. Stanley was born in Yancey County to the late Lattie Hugh and Mafrey Mae Wright Stanley and had resided in Henderson and Buncombe Counties most of his life. He was a retired Farmer and served in the US Army during WW II. Surviving is his children, Linda, Patricia, Jimmy, David and Terry; sister, Susie Gillespie and husband, Lewis of Leicester; brother, Wade Stanley and wife, Pauline of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday in the chapel of the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Little and Rev. Gene Turner officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday at the Anders- Rice Funeral Home.
