Clifford William Worley

Asheville - Clifford William Worley, 87, of 522 Upper Grassy Branch Rd. died Thursday, October 25, 2001 at his residence. A native of Madison County, he had lived in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the former owner/operator of Worleys Grocery and he was a member of the Biltmore Church of God. Mr. Worley was the son of the late C. B. Worley and Louella Mae McElrath Worley and was the husband of the late Thelma McGalliard Worley who died in 1991. Surviving are his daughters, Jo Anne Kise of Arden, Linda Ledford and husband Curtis of Mars Hill, and Nancy Price and husband, Shelby of Asheville; sister, Maverie Cooley of Ohio; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Marshall Poplin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home
