Clayton Horace Edgar

Asheville - Clayton Horace Edgar, 84, of 38 Riverview Mobile Home Park, Lot #38 passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Brian Center of Weaverville. A native of Fairplay, SC he had resided in Asheville for the past 3 years. Mr. Edgar was the son of the late George and Ida Dickerson Edgar. He retired from Roadway Express where he had served as a truck driver for 23 years. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Thelma Worley Edgar of the home and his caregivers, Frank and Blanche Wright with whom he made his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home. Private burial will be held Friday at Grand View Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest, SC.
