Clara Holcombe Mccain

Candler - Clara Lee Clark Holcombe McCain, 68, of 46 Milk Sick Cove Rd. died Friday March 18, 2005 at Universal Health Care Center in Fletcher after a period of declining health. A native of Maryland, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Taft Isaac Clark, Sr. and Pauline Helen Gibson Clark and the wife of the late William Benjamin Holcombe and Roscoe Malcome McCain. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Sprouse. Surviving are her son, Benny Holcombe of Clover, SC.; daughter, Sherry Stoll of Horse Shoe; sisters, Christine Parker of Gastonia, Lillian Vaughn and Carolyn Dourghty both of Kansas City, MO.; brother, Charles Clark of Gastonia and 3 grandchildren, Brandi Bell, Travis Holcombe and Shaye Holcombe. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday at Green Hills Cemetery. with the Rev. Keith Holcombe officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
