Christopher Chad Clement, 41, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, after a brief illness at the John F. Keever Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, NC. He was born on July 21, 1980, to Jan Luther and Perry Clement. He was the husband and soul mate to Samantha “Sammie” Taylor and Daddy to his pride and joy, MaKenzy Clement. Chad was the Manager and “go to guy” for all RC related questions at Hobby Town. Chad had a passion for all things related to motorcycles, dirt bikes, and RC cars. Prior to becoming employed at Hobby Town, he was a Construction Superintendent for Consolidated Framers Construction and Luther Pool and Spa for over 20 years. Chad was a simple man with a huge heart. He made an impact on everyone that he met. If Chad was your friend, he was your friend for life. His most precious thing in life was spending time with his family and friends whether it be camping out at the lake, playing a good game of cards, or sitting on a front porch swing talking and listening to music. Chad’s legacy he leaves behind to his family is the strength and determination he showed as he faced his final days with dignity and courage teaching us all about “fighting the good fight”. Chad was preceded in death by his Nanny, Dixie Beachboard; and his paternal Grand-Parents, Mitchell Winfield and Julie Burrell Clement. Left to cherish his memory is his soul mate, Samantha Taylor; daughter, MaKenzy Clement; his parents: Jan Luther (Fred), and Perry Clement (Kim); sisters: Bree Roberts (Brooke), Ashley Swain, and Stacey Clement; Grandfather, Herbert Beachboard; Uncles: Ricky (Vicky) Beachboard, Larry Clement, and Thomas Hughes; aunts: Edith Clement, and Mary Hughes; Nieces: Isabella Salvatto, Kailee Salvatto, and Heather Clement; Nephews: Alex Houston, and McKay Clement; Cousins: Nikki (Travis) Vinciguerra, Kevin Clement, Scott Clement, Glen Scott, Patty Clement, Aelene Hughes, and Mitchell Hughes; and lifelong friends: BJ Patterson, and Robert Preston. On behalf of the family, we would like to extend our gratitude to the compassionate Nurses at Memorial Mission Hospital’s 3rd floor unit, who so graciously provided support and compassion to Chad and our family in our time of need. Chad’s final request, if he should pass, was for his family and friends to not mourn his passing but to celebrate his life. A celebration of Chad’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Lanning officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 till 6:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samantha and MaKenzy Clement, 25 Sylvester Way, Swannanoa, NC 28778.
