Charlie Webb

Weaverville - Charles Everette Charlie Webb, 72, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 24, 2013 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Webb had retired as a police officer from both the Asheville Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriffs Office and was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Mr. Webb was an unselfish and faithful servant of God, sometimes reading his Bible for up to three hours at a time. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who provided tirelessly for his family. He was a son of the late Miles Ethridge and Anna Mary Walker Webb, and was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Ann Webb. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Lynda Sparacino Dusty Webb; son, Chad Webb and wife Kim; grandsons: Justin Charles Webb and Noah Everette Webb; brother, Miles Webb and wife Diana; nephew, Stan Webb; niece, Cassie Webb; and special great-nephew, Saxon Webb. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Father Fred Werth officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
