Charlie Meadows

Leicester - Charlie Lee Meadows, 47, passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 16, 2010. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he worked with his dad and brothers in the family owned business, Meadow's Transmission Service. He loved hunting and fishing and his dog Meeko. He was a son of Charlie Franklin and Teresa Ellen Rich Meadows. Surviving in addition to his parents are his son, Jeremiah Swann and wife Sabrina of Louisburg; daughter, Chasity Burleson of Asheville; grandson, Harrison Swann; granddaughter, Mayson Burleson; sisters, Lisa Penley, Charlene Rice and Mary Wyatt all of Leicester; brothers, Ricky Meadows of Leicester and Michael Meadows of Asheville; special friend, Sarah Shelton; best friends, Jerry Case and Keith Clemmons and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
