Charles Willard Allen

Ocala, FL -Charles Willard Allen, 72, of 2125 N.E. 55th Street, died Monday May 20, 2002 at his residence following a period of declining health. A native of Fletcher, NC he had resided in Dearborne, Michigan for 35 years and had resided in Ocala, FL for the past 19 years. He retired in 1985 from Ford Motor Company and was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a son of the late Spurgeon and Agnes Ellenburg Allen. Surviving are his wife, Helen Jeanette Brockwell Allen of the home; daughter, Carolyn Ann Allen of Ocala, FL; grandson, Jasyn Charles Bangert and wife, Courtney of Orlando, FL; sister, Allie Allen Parsons of Asheville; brother, John Allen of Lincoln Park, Michigan and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Brockwell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
