Charles Warren

Candler Charles Washington Pap Warren, 83, went to be with his loving wife and their Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2016. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he worked at American Enka Corp for 23 years, was a tobacco farmer and was a retired Fireman with the Upper Hominy Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Warren was a son of the late Ulysses Warren and Daisy Keith Warren and husband of 55 years of Joyce Ray Warren who died April 14, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry; sisters, June, Lillian and Helen and grandchildren, Patricia Anne Warren and Michael Anthony Tony Warren. Surviving are his children, Randy A. Warren (Becky), Charles W. Warren, Jr. (Beverly) and Tammy W. Payne (Eric); 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Sherlin and brothers, Robert, Johnny, Jerry and Frank Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Austin Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah UMC Cemetery.
