Charles Lewis Cline

Asheville – Charles Lewis Cline, 85, of 25 Sienna Drive, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Charles George VA Medical Center.

A native of Swain County, he was a machinist, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a US Air Force veteran.

Mr. Cline was a son of the late Jim Cline and Edna Monteith Cline. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Tweed Cline who died August 2, 2018.

Surviving are his children, Gary Powers of Sevierville, TN, Teresa Burkhead of Dayton, OH, Lisa Cline of Fairborn, OH and Bobbie Mitchell of Asheville; brother, Ricky Cline of Bryson City; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, June 12, 2023, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. Zeb Gunter and Rev. Glenn Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
