Charles Eugene Murphy

Asheville - Charles Eugene Murphy, 73, of 256-A Clayton Ave. died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. A native of McGuffey, OH, he was the son of the late Willis and Mary McKeever Murphy and was retired from the US Air Force. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Sawyer Murphy of the home; children, Joey Murphy of Provo, UT, James Murphy and Danny Murphy, both of KY, Chuck Murphy of Baltimore, MD, Teresa Clements and Cathy Murphy, both of Jeffersonville, OH; step daughters, Annette Snider of Asheville, NC, Yolanda Amstutz of NY, and Katrina Harris of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Billie Dever of West Liberty, OH; brother, James Murphy of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date.
