Catherine Wyatt

December 16, 1925 — May 5, 2022

Canton – Catherine Lucille Wyatt, 96, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Tellico Plains, TN, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1943, and then resided in Silver Bluff for the past 2 years. She was formerly employed as a cook at the Dutch Boy Restaurant for 35 years. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Roscoe O’Dear and Gracie Mae Deitz O’Dear and the wife of Donald Eugene Wyatt who died August 22, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Carolyn Lucille Duncan and Brenda Gail Taylor. Surviving are her daughters, Wanda Mae McNallie of Spring City, TN, Johnnie Colleen Henderson of Canton, Betty Jean Wilkie of Canton, Shirley Irene Shead of Greenville, SC and Vera Kay Surrett of Waynesville, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Green Hills Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Monday, May 9, 2022 at Anders-Rice Funeral Home between 10 AM and 4 PM. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
