Catherine Ward Jones

Swannanoa – Catherine Elizabeth Ward Jones, 74, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at her residence. A native of Bakersville, she resided in Buncombe County since 1966. She was a daughter of the late Linzie Ray Ward and Rexie M. Wilson Ward. Catherine attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Asheville Central Branch. For almost 20 years she worked at Advanced Chiropractic Center as the Office Manager where she loved the patients and felt she was in a position to help others. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Tony Burton Jones; children: Amie Elizabeth Jones Harron and husband Timothy Wayne Harron, and Tony Lee Jones and wife Anna Louise Prislovsky Jones; grandchildren: Tiffanie Workman Cone and husband Carrington, Tucker Stewart Workman and wife Tayler, Nathan Andrew Kotter, Natalie Annabea Kotter, and Braden Mitchell Jones; great-grandchildren: Harrison Cone, and Tru Workman; sister, Lois Vance and husband Curtis; brothers: David Ray Ward and wife Patsy, and Dean Edward Ward and wife Bobbie Sue; nieces and nephews: Jan Staton (Dale), Travis Ward (Mandy), Matthew Ward (Amy), Michelle Smith (Shannon), Jason Vance, and Joshua Vance (Lindsey); and many extended family, beloved friends, and church family. Private funeral services will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:30 till 5:30 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
