Catherine Sue Drake

Asheville - Catherine Sue Kelley Drake, 79, of 15 Valley Park Road, went to be with the Lord, Friday November 14, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Brevard, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was employed with Teagues Soda Shop for 23 years and then was owner and operator of Valley Park Mobile Homes and Groceries. She was a daughter of the late Nancy Kelley Gibson and wife of the late Charles Morris Drake, Jr. Surviving are her sisters, Mildred Yates of Asheville and Patricia J. Fisher and husband, Howard of Arden; brothers, Richard M. Kelley and wife, Carolyn of Asheville, Kenneth E. Gibson and wife, Linda of Hallandale Beach, FL, Harold A. Gibson and wife, Carolyn of Asheville and Gary F. Gibson and wife, Sue of Swannanoa; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Charles Shelton, Rev. Bud Gibson and Mr. Mark Fisher officiating. Pallbearers will be members of Skyland Fire Department. Nephews will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
