Carrie Lucille "Lucy" Hollifield

Asheville - Carrie Lucille Lucy Hollifield was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly. She went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Lucy was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lydia Jones Case. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hollifield; a daughter, Christine; 1 brother, 5 sisters and a great-grandchild. Surviving are her daughter, Faye Roberts; her grandchildren: Gail and Roger Brooks, Bobby, William and David Roberts, Lucille Ward, Glenda Deaver, Marie Case and Susie Roberts; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great, great-grandchildren; her brother, Leonard Case; and her sister, Mabel Bishop. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with George Self officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the physicians and staff of the 9th floor Cardiology Department of St. Joseph Hospital.
