Carrie Lee Johnson

Asheville - Carrie Lee Williams Johnson, 91, of 54 Oakwood St. died Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center following a period of declining health. A native of Graham County. Mrs. Johnson had resided in Henderson County most of her life prior to moving to Asheville in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Milburn and Lexie Winfrey Williams and the wife of the late Robert Webb Johnson withwhom they were married May 15, 1926. She was also preceded in death by her daughter in law, Betty Jo Johnson. Surviving are her son, Everette W. Johnson of East Flat Rock; daughter, Ethel L. McCabe and husband, Scott of Asheville; brother, Clarence Williams and wife, Dorothy of Candler; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery in Henderson County. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
