Carolyn Conner Nesbitt

June 5, 1937 — January 3, 2015

Fletcher Carolyn Conner Nesbitt, 77, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Beckys Rest Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 5, 1937 in Asheville, she was among the first graduating class of AC Reynolds High School in 1956. She was the daughter of the late William Luther and Grady DeHart Conner, and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyce R. Nesbitt, and brother, William Luther (Bill) Conner, Jr. Mrs. Nesbitt was a former co-owner of Ace Mobile Home Sales, and was currently co-owner of Beckys Rest Home, Mountain View and Cane Valley Mobile Home Parks. She was a charter member of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as President for several years, as well as the Buncombe County Fire Department District President. Surviving are her loving family: her daughter, Becky Nesbitt McIntosh and husband Marvin; three precious grandchildren: Carmie May McIntosh, Cheyenne Daniel McIntosh, and Clove Lynn McIntosh; a very dear and special sister-in-law, Pat Conner, whom she dearly loved, and who was always giving a helping hand, a loving heart, and was always by her side; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends, including special friends of the family, Pepper Strickland and Barbara (Babs) Allison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester Owenby and Deacon Amanda Eddings officiating. Burial will follow in Tweeds Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Nesbitts daughter, Becky McIntosh, 330 Lower Brush Creek Road, Fletcher, NC. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Dr. Gregory Pollack, Darlene with Care Partners Hospice, and for all of the loving care she received from the staff of Beckys Rest Home.
