Carla Ward Elliott

Carla Ward Elliott, 50, went home to be with the Lord and her family in Heaven on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Patricia Elkins Hodges of Leicester, and the late Roger Coy Ward. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marlee Sophia Ramos; and father-in-law, Henry Elliott. Carla was selfless and caring in all her ways. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister, and friend who was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Calvin Bruce Elliott of the home; daughter, Letasha Nicole Ramos and husband Andres of Fort Hood, TX; son, Alex Hunter Elliott of the home; grandchildren: Gabriel Ezekiel Ramos and Zoe Dahlila Ramos, both of Fort Hood, TX; sisters: Helen Michele Lindsey of Canton, and Valerie JoAnn Hubbard and husband Michael of Leicester; half-brother, Ben Ward of SC; mother-in-law, Betty Elliott of Candler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be held for the family and friends at 4 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Riverside Baptist Church, 871 Riverside Drive Asheville, NC 28804, with Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the church.
