Carl Everett "Ham" Pike

April 12, 1937 — July 31, 2003

Asheville - Carl Everett Ham Pike, 66, of 307 Gorman Bridge Road, died Thursday July 31, 2003 at his residence after brief illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was an electrician and a son of the late Carl Baxter and Jennie Evelyn Pike. He was also preceded in death by a brother, T.A. Gibbs. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Louise Pike; son, Tony Everett Pike of Asheville; daughter, Donna Tipton and husband, David of Asheville; granddaughter, Rachael Ann Tipton; step grandchildren, Jeff, Julie and Michael Tipton; step great granddaughter, Chloe Tipton; brothers, Bobby Gibbs, Albert Pike and Elbert Pike all of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs Enoch Ball, Jr. and T.A. Holder officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
