C. Bryan Rice

C. Bryan Rice Asheville Curtis Bryan Rice, 65, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Madison Manor Health Care Center. Bryan was a native of Asheville and a son of the late Walter Harold Rice and Lois Marie Sawyer Rice. He grew up in Newbridge Baptist Church, was a 1970 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from Mars Hill College in 1974. During his career he resided in the New York area from 1978, where he worked for Bloomingdales, Associated Merchandising Corp, among others as a Sourcing Professional and for over a year resided in London, England returning to Asheville in 2005. Surviving are his sister, Karen Rice Silver of Weaverville; brother, Blix Rice and wife, April of Easley, SC; nieces and nephews, Andy Silver and wife, Courtney, Katie Silver Lusk and husband, Chris, Blix Logan Rice and wife, Rebekah, Sawyer Rice, Olivia Rice and Charlotte Rice. Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Boone officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home.
