Candler – Hollis Emerson “Bud” Allen, Jr., 67, of 23 Janet Road passed away peacefully Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Advent Health following a long illness.


Bud was born in Orlando, Florida and had resided in Candler most of his life. He was a son of the late Hollis Emerson Allen, Sr. and Gloria Joyce Morton Allen and was a Brick and Block Mason with the Mike Allen Masonry.


Surviving are his wife, Starr Sebastian Allen of the home; sons, Hollis Emerson “Buddy” Allen, III (Kasey), Joshua David Allen and Cody Ryan Allen all of Candler; grandchildren, Erin Rebecca Allen, Lauren Violet Allen, Zachary Eli Allen and Sean David Allen; sister, Valarie Janet Allen and brother; Michael Russell Allen; several nieces & nephews.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, January 15th, 2023, at the Community Center of Mt. Pisgah SDA Church, (Across from the Church on Holcombe Cove Road), Candler, NC.


The family will receive friends following service at the Community Center.


Anders-Rice Funeral Home is honored to be serving Mr. Allen’s family.
