Brenda B. Rice

Weaverville - Brenda Burnice Lloyd Rice, 51, of 25 Sheppard Branch Road Ext., died Monday October 13, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital. A native of Madison County. She had resided in Buncombe County since 1979. She attended Ivy Ridge First Church of God in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Minard Winston and Climmie Ophelia Hensley Lloyd. Surviving are her husband, Billy Ray Rice, Sr. of the home; son, Fulty Billy Ray Rice, Jr. and wife, Shasta Dawn of Horse Shoe; daughter, Tracie Jean Wilcocks and husband, Edward Wayne of Weaverville; sisters, Mafra Ray of Mars Hill, Vonda Lee Williams of Unicoa, TN, Gwinneth Metcalf of Mars Hill and Juanita Williams of Leicester; brothers, Rev. Winston Lloyd of Mars Hill and Rev. Doyle Lloyd of Etowah, Tn; grandchildren, Jonathan Ray King, Jr., Savannah Dawn Rice and Gideon Cade Rice. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Ivy Ridge First Church of God with the Rev. Bill Blythe and Rev. Robert Gray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
