Bob R. Pressley, Sr.

Bob R. Pressley, Sr. passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 3, 2024.

Bob was born on January 3, 1939, in Forest City, NC, and is survived by his wife, Patsy Pressley, daughter Kimberly Pressley Morgan, son Bobby Pressley, Jr. (Melissa), and two granddaughters Taylor Morgan and Kayla Pressley. The surviving siblings are brother Marshall Fulbright (Julie) and sister Jane Wilhide.

After a successful 33-year career with Graybar Electric, Bob worked for Electric Supply in Asheville for another seven years and was passionate about all things electrical. But ,it might be his early days of coaching and mentoring young football players that meant the most to him. Bob’s kindness, humor, and genuine interest in others touched so many around him.

Bob had the blessing of a full life, with a wife of nearly 65 years who loved him unconditionally, two children he watched grow into successful adults, and grandchildren he was fortunate enough to see mature into amazing young women. Bob had an enjoyable career, a warm home, a strong faith he demonstrated in the way he lived each and every day (a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church), and a life with no regrets.

Bob will be deeply missed, but he would have wanted this moment to be a celebration of a life well-lived.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 13th, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Road, Asheville, NC 28804. A small friends and family gathering will be held in Wilmington, NC at a day and time to be announced.
