Billy Sullivan

Fairview William Leroy Billy Sullivan, 63, of Fairview, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 from complications following a long battle with diabetes. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Billy graduated from Asheville High School in 1970, was a former owner of 7-Up Bottling Company, and was currently employed with HD Supply Waterworks. He was an active member in Ashevilles Elk Lodge. Billy was the son of the late James Henry and Mary Katherine Townsend Sullivan. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James T. Sullivan. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Rhew Sullivan; daughters: Elizabeth and Julia; step-daughters: Stephanie and Staci; niece, Beth; and nephew, JT. He was the loving Poppy to six doting grandchildren, a friend to countless lifelong friends, and a devoted USC Gamecoks fan. GO GAMECOCKS! Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
