Billy Layron Lanford

Asheville - Bill Layron Lanford, 68, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., he was the son of the late John Olan Lanford and Dollie Lunsford Lanford Davis and was the husband of the late Mary Ann Brower Lanford who died in 1991. Surviving are his daughter, Billie Ann Yarborough of Asheville; son, Randy Allan Lanford of Asheville; grandchildren, Lonnie, Joshua, Kristina, and Casey Yarborough; sister, Betty Overcash of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
