Billy "Bill" King

Leicester - Billy Bill Howell King, 73, of 84 Solomon Road died Monday November 24, 2008 at the Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member and Deacon of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. He was the owner of Kings Auto Body Repair for 40 years. He was a son of the late James Monroe and Connie Crawford King and was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Sue Peek and Ethel Peek and brother Furman King. Surviving are his wife, Mildred King of the home; son, Tracy King and wife Susan of Charlotte; grandsons, Trenton and Brooks; sister, Janice Barnes and husband Charles of Leicester; brother, James King of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Ralph May and Joel Burton officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
