Betty Lou Ballard Stevens

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Lou Ballard Stevens, a devoted wife to the late John Stevens Sr. , and cherished mother to Susan Ellege and Mike of Asheville NC; John Stevens Jr. and Martha of Houston TX; and Tina Thomas and Randy of McLeansville NC. She had 5 grandchildren, Randy Thomas Jr. , Joshua Thomas, Jordan Ellege, Nicole Stevens, and Isabella Stevens. She also had two great grandchildren Randy “Gordon” Thomas III, and Aiden Thomas. She was also the beloved sister of the late Clara Kirby and many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life Betty Lou was full of kindness and generosity. As a mother, she nurtured and guided her child with unwavering love and devotion. Betty Lou’s warm smile, infectious laughter, and generous spirit will be greatly missed.

A private memorial service will be planned at a later date to celebrate Betty Lou’s life and honor her memory.

Rest in peace dear Betty Lou. Your love, kindness, and joyful devotion will never be forgotten.
