October 26, 1933 — January 21, 2020

Princeton, KY - Barbara Jo Moody Oates, age 86, of Princeton, formerly of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday January 21, 2020 at Caldwell Medical Center. She attended Prospect Baptist Church and was a member of Lamasco Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking with her dog, Shadow, laughing with family, and listening to music. She was always smiling and having fun. She is survived by three children, Pamela Jo Robinson and late husband Ronald of Providence, Jeff Oates of Eddyville, and daughter Lesa Wynn of Eddyville; one sister Carolyn Brunson of Paducah; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Donald Oates; father and mother James Clyde and Gertrude Payne Moody; and one sister Betty Ann Sledge. Visitation will be held at Morgan's Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at Morgan's Funeral Home Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00PM with Bro. Dean Ray officiating. Burial to follow on the Oates family farm, in Caldwell County. You may light a candle or leave a message for the family at www.morgansfuneralhome.com
