Betty Jean Tipton

Candler - Betty Jean Tipton, 57, of 5 Tipton Farm Road died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Beverly Health Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Haywood County, she lived in Buncombe County most of her life, was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church and a daughter of the late Boyd Tipton. Surviving are her mother, Pauline Downs Tipton of the home; sister, Linda Rogers of Climax, Michigan; brothers, Clifford Tipton of Candler and David Tipton of Hendersonville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the residence. Burial will be in Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
