Betty Jean Pressley

Asheville - Betty Jean Pressley, 77, of 5 Chatham Road died Monday, March 25, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Swink King and the wife of the late William Eugene Pressley. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bill Pressley; daughters, Barbara White and Norma Pressley and grandson, Matthew White. Surviving are her sons, Daniel Lee Pressley of Asheville and Edward Lawrence Pressley of Weaverville; daughter, Linda Wright of Waverly Hall, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Thomas officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
