Asheville – Betty Jackson Wilson, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Betty Wilson was born on February 19, 1942, to Eugene Jackson and Ruth McElrath Jackson. Betty was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for the past 27 years. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her church family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted Marvin Wilson; brothers: Stanley Jackson, and Frank Jackson; and brother-in-law, Tommy Stroud.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Teresa Moody and husband Randy, and Sandra Stewart and husband Jonathan all of Asheville; beloved grandchildren: Sarah Sculley and husband Ethan, and Joshua Stewart and wife Allie; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Stroud, Gail Ray and husband David, and Rita Solesby and husband Don; brother, Kelly Jackson and wife Cloria; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Stewart, Rev. Allen Rash, and Rev. Joshua Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Wilson family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center for all their exceptional care and love shown to Betty during her stay.
