Betty Hall Chambers

Asheville - Betty Ailene Hall Chambers of 6 Toad Drive died Saturday May 31, 2008 at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the former owner of Chambers Oil Company and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Laurel Crag and Margaret Ailene Lamb Hall and the wife of the late Orman Eli Toad Chambers, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger Kent Chambers who died April 8, 2008 and a brother, Carl Edward Hall. Surviving are her daughters, Sondra Chambers Jarvis and Ginger Chambers both of Asheville; sons, Randy Bruce Chambers and Ricky Alan Chambers both of Asheville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Chambers of Asheville; best friend of 9 plus years, Gene Pegg of Asheville; grandson, Donald Ray; granddaughters, Tracy Uribe-Trejo, Teresa Karn, Angie Murphy and Bridgette McCurry and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at Bettys home.
