Bernice Robinson

Weaverville - Bernice Vildia Honeycutt Robinson, 83, of 220 Upper Herron Cove Road passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1964, retired from Banner House in 1986 and was a member of West View Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late Woots Honeycutt and Eddie Metcalf Honeycutt and wife of Carl Young Robinson who died in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her stepson, Gene Robinson and 2 grandsons. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Ewart of Leicester; sons, Vernon Robinson, Larry Robinson, Jerry Robinson and John Robinson all of Weaverville; sister, Iris Robinson of Weaverville; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charles English and Rev. Ricky Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Metcalf Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to John F.
