Bernice Ann Dyar Mathis

Asheville – Bernice Ann Dyar Mathis, 81, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at The Oaks of Sweeten Creek.

Mrs. Mathis was born on April 17, 1941, in Anderson, SC to James Henry Dyar and Minnie Inez Dyar. She was a loving mother and homemaker, having raised five children on her own. She will be greatly missed

Mrs. Mathis was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Ante Lucy Raymer; brothers: Buck Dyar, and Jeo Dyar; and by a beloved dog, Toby.

Those left to cherish his memory are her children: Jeannie King and husband Bobby, John Eubanks, William Frank Eubanks, and Sarah Dillinger; grandchildren: Jackie Buckner and husband Earl, Beth Eubanks, Joseph Locklear, and Daniel King; sister, Sue Dyar; brother, Ralph Dyar and wife Gail; nieces and nephews: Michelle Dyar, Michael Dyar, David Dyar, Derrick Dyar, and Dakota Dyar; and beloved pets: Rover, Raven, Rosie, Inez, and Z.

No services are planned at this time.
