Benny "Benji" Gene Ingram

Asheville Benny, Benji Gene Ingram, our beloved son, brother and devoted uncle, died peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning, August 1st, 2011. Services will be held at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Fairview, NC on Saturday, August 6th at 3:00 p.m. A reception at the church annex will follow. Born in Marion, North Carolina, on September 5th, 1959. Benji, a long time resident of Asheville, will be missed by family and friends over his passing. He is survived by his loving parents Janet England-Fox and Grover Fox of Fairview, Roger and Delia Ingram of San Carlos, Mexico. He has a sister and two brothers, Susan Ingram of Asheville, Nathan Ingram and wife Tracy of Denver, Colorado, and Carlos Ingram of San Carlos, Mexico. He has a nephew Marshall Lawing and wife Christine of Asheville, three nieces ~ Melissa Smith of Asheville, Lucy and Lilly Ingram of Denver and great-niece Selene Lawing also of Asheville. They all love Uncle Benji. Benji was a talented Chef & Manager illustrating his culinary passions in careers that spanned from Shoneys to the Biltmore Estates Deer Park Restaurant. He was educated at Asheville High School, and A.B. Tech. He was always willing to lend a helping hand in anybodys kitchen. He was greatly loved by all who knew him for his kindness, friendship, sense of humor and love of life. No farewell words were spoken; no time to say goodbye; you were gone before we knew it; only God knows why. You came into our lives, leaving footprints on our hearts, and we will never, ever be the same. Your life will be celebrated.
