Ben Clark

January 30, 1948 — August 9, 2021

Thomasville – Ben Oliver Clark, 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Haywood County, he was an EMT with Randolph County EMS for over 26 years, was a member of The Church of God and was a US Army Vietnam War Veteran. Mr. Clark was a son of the late E. Luther Clark and Dorothy Lee Brown Clark. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Aldridge. Surviving are his daughter, Tina Lee Clark Slone of Lexington; 3 grandchildren; brothers, David Clark (Judy) of Leicester and James Clark of Denton; brother-in-law, David Aldridge of Waynesville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, August 13, 2021 in the chapel of the Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with his brother, Rev. David Clark officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the NC National Guard. Burial will follow in the Western Caroline State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to: The Church of God in Asheville, c/o Angela Wright, P.O. Box 551, Fletcher, NC 28732.
