Becky King

Marion – Rebecca Lynn “Becky” King, 62, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she had resided in McDowell County for the past five years. She was a graduate of Lucy Herring School and a member of Crossroads Church. She loved people, animals, and her music. Becky was a daughter of Virginia Ella Tilson King, of Hendersonville and the late Bobby Joe King. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Angel. Surviving in addition to her mother are her sisters, Joyce Ingle (Malcolm) and Barbara Maney (Jack), all of Asheville and Theresa Vess (Joel) of Fairview; brothers, Charles D. King of Asheville and Bobby D. King (Stephanie) of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Paulette Davis of Asheville, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 30, 2020 at Green Hills Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. J. Michael Brown and Rev. Wade Zachary officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the cemetery. A special thanks to Anna and Justin Thomas and their sons, Kevin and Kane with whom she made her home and knew them affectionately as Mama Anna and Daddy Justin and Brothers Kevin and Kane.
