ASHEVILLE - BEATRICE "BEA" HAWKINS STYLES, 77, OF 35 MULBERRY STREET, WENT TO BE WITH JESUS, SUNDAY JANUARY 21, 2001 AT HER DAUGHTERS RESIDENCE. A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF BUNCOMBE COUNTY. SHE WAS RETIRED FROM SQUARE-D AND WAS A MEMBER OF RICHLAND BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE KELLY C. AND THELMA HAYES HAWKINS. SHE WAS THE WIFE OF THE LATE ROBERT S. SMITH AND THE LATE HUGH FLOYD STYLES. SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SISTER, WANDA HAWKINS AND BROTHER, HOUSTON HAWKINS. SHE WAS A LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND GREAT GRANDMOTHER. SURVIVING ARE HER DAUGHTERS, EVETTA WARREN AND HUSBAND JOHN, DARLENE BURNETTE AND HUSBAND PAT ALL OF ASHEVILLE; SISTERS, OPAL LEE PRUITT AND HUSBAND JACK, CHRISTINE KING AND HUSBAND CLYDE ALL OF LEICESTER; BROTHER, K.C. HAWKINS OF ASHEVILLE; GRANDCHILDREN, PAM WARREN, CURTIS WARREN AND WIFE MONICA, ANNISSA PIPER AND HUSBAND JOE AND ANNE HENSLEY; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ALISA, DUANE, AMANDA AND KAYLA. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY AT ANDERS-RICE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL WITH THE REVS. JACK GASSAWAY, RANDY TEAGUE, JOHN WARREN AND LEONARD COLE OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN THE WESTERN CAROLINA STATE VETERANS CEMETERY, BLACK MOUNTAIN. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 7 TO 9:00 P.M. TUESDAY AT RICHLAND BAPTIST CHURCH IN WOODFIN AND AT OTHER TIMES THE FAMILY WILL BE AT THE HOME OF EVETTA AND JOHN WARREN, 15 REX DRIVE, ASHEVILLE.
