Barry Mark Chauvin, 66, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday March 10, 2022. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his family and friends at Pisgah Manor after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Barry was born on December 6, 1955 in Franklin, Louisiana and was the son of the late Clayton William Chauvin and Billie Ann Boudreaux Chauvin. He was also preceded in death by his brothers John Bradley Chauvin and Jan Matthew Chauvin; and sister-in-law Jackie Chauvin. Barry moved his family from Southern Louisiana to the beautiful mountains of Western NC in 1992. He retired from FedEx after 23 years of service and was a faithful member of Crossroads Church. Through his outgoing friendly personality and numerous volunteering endeavors, he made many wonderful friends that he considered family over the years. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan Marie Breaux Chauvin; children: Scott Bradley Chauvin and wife Aurélie, and Valerie Marie Chauvin Lane and husband Aaron; grandchildren: Clara, Elisa, Amélie, Madeline, Peyton, Richie, Laila, Brielle and Gunnar; sisters: Donna Marie Chauvin Bucci and husband Ron, and Ann Chauvin Oncale and husband Arthur; brother Louis Chauvin; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 3pm on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Crossroads Church, 20 South Bear Creek Road Asheville, NC 28806. The family will receive friends from 2 till 3pm on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to 4 Seasons Hospice or Crossroads Church in remembrance of Barry.
