Barbara Zane Wallin Stafford

Barbara Zane Wallin Stafford, 89, of Candler, NC went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2024.

Born and raised in Marshall, NC, she was the daughter of the late Chester Clyde Wallin and Elsie Robinson Wallin of Marshall, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cromer “Red” Stafford; brothers: William Wallin and Alfred Wallin; daughter, Sharon Davis; and grandson, Christian “Jo Jo” Burgin.

Barbara spent 33 years with American Enka/BASF and retired in 1994. She eventually returned to work and spent 24 years with Tutco-Farnam Custom Products in Arden before retiring again at the age of 86.

Surviving are her children: Sonya Price (Greg); Rickey Davis (Rosemary); and Joan Cutshall (Dan). Grandchildren: Melanie (Forrest), Rickey (Kelly), Aaron (Rachel), and Josh. Great Grandchildren: Stephen, Jaylon, Josie, Alice, and Jayden; and three great-great grandchildren. Sister: Jannie Wilson (Loyd) of Marshall. Nephews: Stacy and Johnny.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Waldrup officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends from 2 till 3 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
